Sognefjord Jewellery
Known as "The King of the Fjords", the Sognefjord is Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, as well as the second-longest in the world. Stretching over 200 kilometres from the coast to the foot of the Jotunheimen mountains, it reaches a maximum depth of 1,308 metres below sea level. The landscape was carved out over hundreds of thousands of years through successive ice ages by massive glaciers.
Along its branches lie the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nærøyfjord, historic stave churches such as Urnes Stave Church dating back to the 12th century, and Jostedalsbreen – mainland Europe’s largest glacier.

This inspired me to create a jewellery design connected to the Norwegian fjords. I wanted the design to have a simple and personal expression, appeal to people of all ages, and be suitable for every occasion."
